WELCOME (BACK) CYRIL AUVITY

We are very happy to welcome among our artists the tenor and French counterpart Cyril Auvity!

Praised by the press for “his impeccable technique, the natural beauty of his tone, the clarity of his diction and especially the emotion he manages to communicate in his singing” (Resmusica), he is particularly recognized for his inspired interpretations, upsetting and with a rare dramatic intensity of French baroque music, with Platée and Les Indes Galantes by Rameau, Armide, Amadis, Alceste and Acis et Galatée by Lully, Médée by Charpentier… but also from the Italian repertoire with notably L’Orfeo by Monteverdi – as many roles that he sang under the baton of conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Jordi Savall, William Christie, Christophe Rousset, Paul Agnew, Ottavio Dantone, Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, Hervé Niquet, Emmanuelle Haim, Vincent Dumestre, Stéphane Fuget, Christina Pluhar… on the biggest international stages: Theatre des Champs Elysees, the Salzburg Festival, Theater an der Wien, the Royal Opera of Versailles, Opéra Comique, Philharmonie de Paris, Bayerischestaatsoper, Grand Théâtre de Genève…
