We welcome Soprano GABRIELLE PHILIPONET to our roster for General Management!

« Vocalement, c’est Gabrielle Philiponet qui domine, Leïla à l’aplomb sidérant, autant dans les passages lyriques que dans les pyrotechnies du rôle, avec un timbre au grain vibratile des plus délectables. » (Emmanuel Dupuy, Diapason)

Often acclaimed as one of the finest French lyric sopranos of the moment, Gabrielle’s wide-ranging repertoire spans from Mozart to contemporary music. Closely associated with the French repertoire, she has performed Bizet’s Carmen at Opéra de Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper, Aix-en-Provence Festival, Les Pêcheurs de perles for the Lille and Nice Operas, and Gounod’s Faust at Opéra de Saint-Etienne. She regularly appears in leading roles from the romantic operatic repertoire, singing Mimi (La Bohème), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Magda (Rondine)… and of course her signature role of Violetta (La Traviata).
