Filippo Mineccia and Federico Fiorio sing the two title roles of Mozart’s Apollo et Hyacinthus, conducted by Giulio Prandi and directed by Fabio Ceresa at Valletta Early Opera Festival in Malta!

Apollo et Hyacinthus is the very first opera that Mozart composed, at the age of 11. Rarely performed, this opera is based on the story of Hyacinth and Apollo from Greek mythology which tells the tale of the love between Apollo and the young Spartan prince Hyacinth, as well as the murder of Hyacinth due to Zephyrus’ jealousy.
