Karina Gauvin travels to Bogotá Columbia this week to sing two exciting concerts for the Festival Internacional de Musica Clasica de Bogotá. This year’s festival thematic centers around the music of France’s “la Belle Époque” including composers like Ravel, Debussy, Fauré, Massenet and many others. Her first concert with L’Orchestre des Champs Élysées and conductor Gabriella Teychenne, will present some of Henri Duparc’s most famous mélodies as well as beloved songs of the Auvergne, by Joseph Canteloube. Her second concert with pianist Daniel Heide, will feature songs by Hahn, Debussy, Ravel and Massenet.
