With his 8th (!!) solo album dedicated to opera arias for alto by Francesco Gasparini (1661-1727) and featuring 9 word premiere recordings, Filippo Mineccia continues to pay tribute to composers who are unjustly forgotten nowadays.
One of the most innovative opera composers of the early 18th century, this pupil of Corelli and Legrenzi excelled in mixing opposites – bravura with intimacy, wit with ferocity, simple melodies with complex harmonies.
At Filippo’s side are Paolo Perrone and the Orchestra Nazionale Barocca dei Conservatori Italiani.
